SONOMA COUNTY PRANKSTERS
Folks,
Is everyone doing alright?
The reason I’m checking in is to let you know we’re heading out the door this weekend for some shows. Yes, it had to happen. Episodic TV binging be damned. The Mission Express will be arriving all masked up in our new (to us anyway) Ford Econoline van. Surprise. Surprise. Alert the media!
Also worth noting, we’ll have our friend Matt Jaffe in tow. He’ll be opening most or all of the shows. Tour starts this weekend in St Paul. I could only sit in this chair for so long staring out the window. I’ve actually been training hard. I’ve been taking long walks around the city. You know how I walk: hands behind my back, slow and pensive – the Nixon walk.
Meanwhile, a message for our Sonoma Country friends about the Sonoma Country Shuttle Bus to our Homecoming show November 20 at the Chapel in San Francisco:
Hey Sonoma County Pranksters: Here’s a chance to ride to the show in style with your fellow music fans. We will make two stops to get folks from Sonoma and Marin counties to the Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express show at the Chapel.
In the mortal words of Ken Kesey “There are going to be times when we can’t wait for somebody.” This is one of those times. Ken again: “You’re either on the bus or off the bus. If you’re on the bus you’ll always find it again. If you’re off the bus — then it won’t make a damn.”
And now a message from the band: Folks, for these upcoming dates, we intend to protect our fans and the staff at the clubs, as well as each other as best we can. Hence the shows will require proof of vaccine or a recent Covid test. We’re continuing to pull that together. Please check with the local venue for particulars.
On behalf of myself and the band (Stephie, James, Kevin and Vicente), we hope to see you out there.
Onwards,
-Chuck
