It’s a long story. But I need to get to Nashville. There’s a new burger joint on Mission St. that claims to sell “Nashville style hot chicken.” I was walking aimlessly down Valencia Street and it caught my eye. I studied the menu and I was like, “Hmmm… I wonder what my friends in Tennessee would think about this. So I threw down. I kinda had to. The first red flag was that they dress it up as a sandwich. Okay, I went along. After a few bites, I noticed my sandwich had a piece of chicken bone in it… But other than that? I didn’t even break a sweat. Not exactly the XXX fried stuff you get in Nashville. Posers!

Aside from which, I’ve been staring out an open window pushing chords around. Shouting at the walls. On a good day, what comes bouncing back might actually grow up into a real song. I’d say the songs are around 78% done for a new record. Maybe 79%. But who’s counting? So, we’re looking at different places to record. More on that down the road. Watch this space!

I’ll be gabbing about that more I’m sure. It’s like they say, God helps those who hype themselves, right?
