BOBBY FULLER DIED FOR YOUR SINS 5TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

Hello folks,

Couple things. First off, we’ve got shows with the Mighty Mission Express. Every Sunday in August up in Penngrove, CA at the Twin Oaks Roadhouse. Low to no ticket alerts are in full force.

Meanwhile, in MERCHVILLE, where if you’re not busy being born you’re busy buying, it’s all about this baby. Yes, the LP which bears the shy, unassuming title BOBBY FULLER DIED FOR YOUR SINS.

BOBBY FULLER DIED FOR YOUR SINS has been re-issued. And you can pre-order the 5th Anniversary Edition LP on limited red marble vinyl!

I know we’re all getting used to being exposed to an overwhelming amount of misinformation, but I assure you: This is all very real.

And yes, we will be hauling merchandise up to Penngrove. So bring your folding money. And let me remind you one more time how we feel about people who say they love vinyl and don’t buy it. Those people have issues that have issues. But we are here to help.

As for BOBBY FULLER DIED FOR YOUR SINS: I suppose you could say this was my California Noir LP. The song “Bad Year for Rock and Roll” is for anyone who’s ever had a bad year and battles late night bouts of loss and faith. There’s more than enough longing, loss and empty feelings to go around these days. But, the music has always been there for me. And hopefully we can all find belief in a better tomorrow where a spark of romance rekindles the ties that bind.

Meanwhile, up to the minute details on shows here: http://chuckprophet.com/gigs

HELP ME RHONDA

Hey folks,

It’s been a while.

We’ve actually got a few shows to announce here. You can scroll down for more info. But first let me say one thing: it’s great to see these shows on the calendar. People have been asking me how I’m doing. Thanks for asking! I’m clicking along just fine with the treatment. I’ll share this tidbit: My nurse the other day introduced herself as Rhonda. I said “Help me Rhonda“. And she said, “Sir, I am trying to help you the best I can.” I was tempted to say, “Yeah, so when does Barbara Ann‘s shift start? Let’s party.“ But thought better of it. Three months down and three months to go. Beyond that, if you want to get deeper into the real nitty-gritty on that front, you can follow me over here at Substack: https://chuckprophet.substack.com

So yeah, we love you. All of you. Don’t really KNOW you. But you’re on this list and we love you for that. Meanwhile, there is something I want to share with you.

Temple Beautiful: The Musical is back from Pandemic Purgatory. Sure we lost our producer and our theatre company during the Bad Times, but it gave us time to regroup. “Us” would be me and klip. Without some outside encouragement, we dug into the script, putting our revising hats on. AND we wrote three new songs, including an Opening Number! At the end of April we had an elaborate staged reading at the Sofia: B Street Theatre in Sacramento, with a director and professional actors and everything. We even had a videographer. It was a big success….

Feel free to poke around our brand new website. We have a fancy Timeline and everything. And there are clips from Sacramento, of the new songs. Extra points if you find us a third Producer! You can’t get there without one… If that’s not enough, there was also a feature on the play in The Frisc. You’ll find a link to that on the website too HERE: https://templebeautifulmusical.com

Meanwhile, doctor says I can play. As long as the show is outside. I’m excited about playing with the Stephie, James, Kevin and V. Yeah, The Mission Express. I’m ready to toss a bouquet of roses at each of ‘em. Hope to see you there.

Onwards,

-CP

A CLARIFICATION

Friends,

I think I need to clarify a few things before I concentrate on my health situation. What I have is treatable. Though I will need all of you to wish me luck. As I write this, I am playing gigs with the Mission Express in Texas and am out and about. But after the April 2 show in Livermore, CA I will be off the road for an undetermined length of time and we have decided to cancel all of the upcoming dates in UK/EU. Will keep you posted.

Thanks again for all the good thoughts and wishes.

Peace,

CP
