Seeing Chuck with the Jayhawks seems so outlandishly awesome that I fear there's no way in hell I'm going to get to see it, I even seriously doubt any form of this show will make it across the pond. However, getting a decent recording of one of those shows would be phenomenal (spread the word). If it was the Mission Express, as much as I like the Jayhawks, Gary and Mark would need to follow :) |

What can I Luke? I agree. The mission ex is like having a fucking army behind you. |
Congrats on the Todos Santos gig! You really wanted to do that. Called that Mr. Buck invited you to go. And I love the Jayhawks. Glad your European friends will get to see you again. Stephanie, looks like you'll have miss the freezing cold and snow. I'm stuck here in DC too. Chuck, look out for the Loch Ness Monster surfing in Scotland. Bye. |

Got my tickets for Chuck at the Barbican...I haven't decided whether I'm gonna hang around for the Jayhawks!! ;-) |

Looking forward to it! Can't wait. Heard some of the tracks last night at Casbah in Durham. Awesome! |

Great pics, Jay - thanks. I would have really liked to have seen some of the solo shows. *Anyone record a show? Looks like where I posted my pics has changed, but I have some nice ones. I was just looking to see if I could post here on CP's site and saw the absolutely beautiful picture of Stephanie captioned "old sins tour" (I will not make a "sin" comment"). I have a gorgeous pic I took of Steph playing the boards with the red trim, her red guitar standing at the ready behind, her in red soft light wearing a white lacy sheer blouse and red stockings - good lawd Chuck is a very lucky man. |
Luke, I pulled a really nice copy of the show off archive.org. It sounds like a great show. |
Bill, thank you for the heads up and for pointing me in the right direction for shows. Certainly does sound great. Chuck sounds superb, show has a really nice feel (including that solo acoustic show also in NC in '10 which I didn't know about) - new songs are CP good, which is the best. Thanks for doin' it Chuck. And, thanks to Dan Schram. These are a dream find for me, thanks again, Bill. |

My pleasure. I agree that this was a terrific show. I was in Chapel Hill, NC last week on business (I live in NH) and only found out about this show after the fact. I would have loved to have driven over to Durham to catch him solo. I caught him in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago while I was traveling, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. |
Made my day. |
Not too shabby. In fact not shabby at all. Rather elegant in fact. Enough about facts. This one builds and builds and builds. "Don't you think it's fair that we trade sometime?" Why the hell not? |
love it... kinda sounds like George Harrison maybe was in your dreamsong, sort of... GREAT! thanks |
Glad Halloween will soon be gone...now I got a song to remind me. lol |

SCARECROW will always be my favorite song of the season...off Brother Aldo. |

Gracias for the Halloween Giveaway! A lot better giveaway than the one in Halloween 3! Really, Really, enjoyed it...I can hear Harrison floating around in there too?? Loved the lyrics and lead guitar bits/tone you used too. As for vocals? excellento as always. Yeah, I'm not one for the costumes and things..my daughter is though!...and we're off trick n treatin tonight here in Merry Old England. Hopefully FUN with no GUN! Anyways, as a good will gesture right back at ya...have a listen to a rough demo of a self penned demo called 'DYLANGIRLFOREVER'on my playlist ( hit link below) when you get a spare minute or two. if you like it, download it, wrestle with it, whatever you like! Take care Dude, Dave (GFL) |

Fantastic Song!!! Can't stop listening. Also thought immediately of George Harrison, but then it veers off into the world of Prophetic twists and turns. And a ripping solo into fadeout- Hoorah!. Everytime I see Chuck, I feel like he and James are about to rip into a Television song. Ever done that CP? |
Hey yeah Marc, I commented on that when I first heard it. Defo got some GH vibe, even with the bells. Chuck is AWESOME (even if he doesn't like people to say so)! Looking forward to the album and some shows...always looking forward to the shows! |
well it cut me off...Chuck never responded to my George comment, he was probably wondering what I was going on about, you know, the usual nutter (but lovable nutter) that I am! |
Perhaps Chuck is planning a solo live compilation album? Is that at all possible? Just a thought. Anyway, after hearing and watching some of the solo stuff I'm blown away (there's some uTube vid up of Winnipeg). Really fantastic, very special stuff. |
"Give 'em hell Wed in Bayport"...“I never give them hell. I just tell the truth and they think it's hell.” The truth is that this is not only the first time I saw Chuck, but the first time I had ever heard him. Absolutely loved the show! I'm hooked!!! Can't wait for my husband to hear the Cd ...And, yes, I would pick you up from the airport! (Barbara - spelled correctly) |
